Introduction to Mindfulness Meditation: Cheer Up and Make Friends With Your World
A one-hour workshop
Mindfulness meditation is a simple technique of synchronizing the body and mind, and gently training the mind so that it can be fully harnessed for greater focus, kindness to self and others, and overall well-being. The gentleness, openness and precision learned through this meditation practice can be applied to every area of life, whether it’s a busy day at the office, in personal relationships, or in life’s many adventures and challenges. This introductory session offers an overview that is appropriate for all levels of practice, whether you’re a beginner or an experienced practitioner looking for re-inspiration. This includes a short talk, guided practice, and discussion.
If you want to go quickly, go alone. If you want to go far, go together.

Mind Training: Waking Up in the Blink of an Eye
A seven-week series
It’s possible to become more adventurous and begin to take risks in our thinking and in all our interactions with the world. Through this training, we can discover that we have all the qualities we need to journey, in the blink of an eye, from self-centered ways of thinking to a more open and curious mind. This class will make use of traditional mind training slogans that encourage us, beginning right where we are, to act and free ourselves from the complacency that prevents us from experiencing the limitless possibilities of the world as it is. Each session will include short talks, guided meditation practice, and group discussion.
